kicks-off
Pick-up football in Vienna is hard to find, and when you do find it you turn up to a half-empty pitch°. We got annoyed and started organising it ourselves.
keep playing
The first year barely held together: games fell through, people flaked. But there were loyal ballers who kept coming back. Now, thanks to our people, we play twice a week, NON-STOP.
who's on the pitch?
Pretty much everyone. Locals, internationals, students, office people. The level rises as our players do. Youngest so far: 15. Oldest: 64.
the takeover
When the admins were out of town, players took over: bringing bibs, collecting money, marking pitches°. Once the game is part of someone's week, we no longer have the luxury of cancelling it.
the test
Then winter: three months, no football. The next season turned out to be the biggest yet. By now: the second-largest football community in Vienna°, with in-house media production and corporate events.
